Alp Financial Hires FX Liquidity Manager

Andrea Sanna has joined FCA regulated matched principal firm Alp Financial as senior liquidity manager to head up the execution optimisation process across the firm’s institutional and retail facing client segments.

Alp says the hire reflects the growing success it has experienced since mid 2020 combining true price origination from banks and quant funds with underlying liquidity for clients across banks, funds and retail facing brokers.

Sanna joins from Integral, where he spent just over two years as an analyst on the firm’s OCX platform, prior to that he worked at Nomura for almost three years, most latterly as an e-FX analyst for sales and trading.

Sanna represents the third key hire in less than a year following the onboarding of Gary Boon, head of operations and Soren Klausen as head of business development. “Alp’s strategy is to become a significant provider of liquidity to our institutional clients,” says Chris Ling, CEO of Alp Financial. “We are continually looking to strengthen the quality in both technology and people and Andrea joins the team to expand the institutional FX business and complement an already successful retail facing technology and multi asset STP offering established in 2017.”

Klausen adds, “As our business continues to grow in number of active users and broadening execution gateways, the Alpfin management team wanted to add a market leading liquidity manager to ensure every client-to-client matching is handled professionally and is fully optimised.
