The Full FX Unfiltered – with Loop FX

In the first Unfiltered video of 2026, Blair Hawthorne, CEO of Loop FX, and Colin Lambert, publisher of The Full FX, entertain their love of doing things differently by chatting in front of the shark tank at the London Aquarium.
The conversation took place shortly after Loop FX matched its first trades and Hawthorne reflects on the journey to that moment, what it took on the part of all parties involved, and the important role of FX Connect. He stresses the role of trust and honesty in that process, as well as the need to have some “tough conversations”.
The axed, dark pool concept does not have many successful models in FX, but does in other asset classes, a point Hawthorne makes when discussing Loop’s individual approach to the business. So where does it go from here? Watch to find out.
Oh, and there is, naturally, the odd shark pun thrown in (by Lambert, equally naturally) as well as a triple appearance by one shark that seems to be assessing Lambert’s line of questioning!
