OneZero has announced investment from private equity firm Golden Gate Capital, which has joined existing investor Lovell Minnick Partners – terms of the investment were not released.
OneZero was founded in 2009 and says it handles $250 billion per day in average daily volume, via 12 million transactions and 150 billion quotes across its three main products, Hub, EcoSystem and Data Source.
Lovell Minnick invested in the firm in 2019, and OneZero says the investment from Golden Gate Capital will help it move to its next growth phase. Co-founders Andrew Ralich and Jesse Johnson will continue to run the business, the former as CEO, the latter as CTO, and will remain the largest individual shareholders.
“Golden Gate Capital’s investment is a seamless extension of our beneficial relationship with LMP,” says Ralich. “This next stage investment, alongside LMP’s continued support, validates the clear opportunity we see to expand our role as a leading technology partner in the global OTC asset trading market. “Golden Gate Capital’s extensive resources and deep industry expertise will help us accelerate investment in our team and our organic product roadmap, while also expanding opportunities to grow the business through M&A.”
Dan Haspel, a managing director at Golden Gate Capital, adds, “OneZero’s recent momentum reinforces the strength of its development roadmap and organic growth strategy as it continues to drive differentiated and intelligent performance for its clients. We are confident that OneZero has the right leadership team and strategic plan in place to continue this impressive momentum and are thrilled to support the company in the next chapter of its growth story.”
Meanwhile, terming the movement a “significant milestone” for both OneZero and LMP,d Steve Pierson, managing partner at LMP, says, “Over the past five years, OneZero has demonstrated remarkable growth and product expansion, and we are confident that Golden Gate Capital will be an excellent partner to continue this trajectory.”
