9th Gear Adds Two

FX processing firm 9th Gear Technologies has named two senior appointments from the asset management industry to its roster.
Meg Whitman-Gorham joins as head of product development and Mark Farrington as strategist for digital assets and capital markets.
Both have been working as independent consultants for the past 18 months, prior to which Whitman-Gorham worked at John Hancock as business lead for the firm’s global investment operational platform. Whitman-Gorman also spent over 10 years working with MassMutual in the US as senior business analyst and project manager.
Farrington meanwhile, spent 21 years as managing director and portfolio manager for Principal Global Investors’ boutique operation Macro Currency Group in London. Prior to that Farrington spent five years in a portfolio management role with BT Funds Management in Sydney. He also spent several years in strategist and trading roles at banks in Asia, including Societe Generale and Bankers Trust.
