Deutsche Börse’s 360T had its third busiest month in average daily volume terms in March, recording EUR 127.4 billion per day. This ranks just below December 2022 (EUR 127.6 billion) but is a way off the current peak set in September 2022 of EUR 140.8 billion.
Earlier this month, 360T reported spot FX ADV of $27.9 billion, a 9% increase from February but down 2% year-on-year. The overall volume represents a 3.2% month-on-month increase and a 7.6% rise from March 2022.
Using a constant exchange rate, this puts 360T non-spot ADV at EUR 103.1 billion, included in this is the $1.17 billion per day in NDFs, also reported earlier this month by the firm. In constant exchange rate terms this is the fourth highest recorded thus far, with October 2022 slightly higher as well as the two aforementioned months.
CLS is yet to report its spot and non-spot data, however 360T’s month-on-month change is very much in line with that at Refinitiv, which earlier reported non-spot ADV of $370 billion, a 3.6% rise from February, but down 2.4% year-on-year.
