The Full FX Awards 2026

Welcome to the second year of The Full FX Awards, which seek to recognise outstanding e-FX technology. As was the case last year, the awards have initially been driven by user feedback, and then augmented by our own observations, and, as we promised last year, they have already started evolving.
Probably the biggest difference this year is that we have added client segment awards to the single dealer platform section. This was at the request of participants from those sector – OK, if we’re being honest not the corporate sector, but if we’re doing real money and hedge funds, why not include the corps? – as well as from one or two banks who felt our awards could have a slightly broader touch.
The second nuance this year is we have opened out e-FX Initiatives awards to the banking sector – last year they were for the technology segment only, however upon visiting several banks to look at their platform we felt there were product launches that deserved recognition – especially if the overall platform was pipped by a peer to an award.
For the SDPs, as with last year, following user feedback we have not looked at every offering in this first year, preferring instead to be guided by the aforementioned users, however as will be explained, we did not manage to get into one or two institutions for a demo, but thankfully were able to take feedback.
As we noted last year, for the vendor world, the sheer breadth and scale of offerings means it is unfeasible to look at everything, therefore we have again focused on innovative launches from the past 12 months. It should be stressed that here we have focused upon product launches that are interesting and either shift the dynamic of that segment of the market, or solve an existing problem. It is not a prediction of success – rather recognition of what we think is a really good idea that has a really good chance of success.
To reiterate from last year, we want to make these awards different to most of those of offer currently – not only can businesses not pitch for an award, none were notified of our feedback process when creating our quasi short-list of platforms and products to look at. Equally, this is not an exercise in goodwill – we are conscious of keeping the awards to a suitable, and limited, number and that means that awards are still relatively thin on the ground and have to be earned. We are not interested in a list that includes, for example, “the best bank platform beginning with ‘A’ and so on…”
It should be stressed that the differences between platforms can be minimal, but with each winner we have tried to identify one or more differentiators – places where the provider really stands out.
